Reruns, Reruns, Reruns & Killer B's!

Yeah, we know that reruns aren’t exactly fun and exciting. But reruns are like a déjà vu without that weird nauseating sensation in your stomach, but with twice the mind rotting capacity. And we like that part.

Do the Gammera!Saturday night at 10pm Eastern & Pacific - 9pm Central & Mountain on RTV – It’s back to the start of season 1 with everyone’s favorite radioactive mutant turtle! From 1966, it’s "Gammera The Invincible."

A giant turtle with a severe underbite is awakened by a skirmish between Soviet and American bombers, and then takes out his frustration on Japan. How will the pitiful humans stop the rampaging reptile?

Saturday night at Midnight on Ft. Myers' My TV 8 – From 1961, it's the sci-fi stinker, "Phantom Planet." It's your typical man-meets-aliens fare, with desperate attempts at realism, cheeseball special effects (come to think of it, the asteroids kinda look like cheeseballs) and sub plots galore.

It stars Dean Fredericks, who appeared in dozens of films and TV shows in the 50s and 60s. But stealing the show with her raven hair and scorching hot bod is Dolores Faith as Zetha. There's also the added bonus that she’s mute through most of the film.

Saturday evening at 8pm on EISE-TV, My TV Ft. Wayne – Tune in for the 1967 Rankin/Bass masterpiece "King Kong Escapes." When a giant robot Kong can't dig up enough radioactive Element X, the evil Dr. Who (No relation to the famous Timelord) decides to kidnap the real thing! However King Kong's current gal pal and her commanding officers have something to say about that.

You thought your day was rough.June is just around the corner and that can only mean it's almost time for another "Attack of The Killer B’s" at the Main Art Theater in Royal Oak!

This month we're getting buff and oiling up our beefy bods with Alan Steel in "Hercules Against The Moon Men." Hercules comes to the city of Samar to oppose the evil Queen Samara, who has allied herself with moon aliens! She's so rotten, she even sacrifices her own people to help the moon men awaken their goddess.

Thursday, June 3rd at 7pm at the Main Art Theater in Royal Oak. $9 Adults, $7 Students, $5 Kids | Main Art Theater - 118 Main Street, Royal Oak (248) 263-2111.

Teenage Zombies, She Beast and Welcome Ft. Wayne!

I shall call him "Torgo"

It's been pretty crazy at Chiller Drive-In for the past few weeks, so this weekend, we’re going easy on you.

That is if you consider watching a film that is regarded as one of the worst ever made as "easy."

Saturday night at 10pm Eastern & Pacific, 9pm Central & Mountain on RTV – Chiller Drive-In wraps up Season 2 with the legendary suck fest from 1959, "Teenage Zombies."

A group of nosy teens discover the laboratory of a sultry mad scientist who plans to turn everyone on the face of the Earth into a dopey "zombie". If think that's insane, wait until the fight scene with the gorilla.

Not sure where to find RTV? Start here...

Saturday night at Midnight on Ft. Myers' My TV 8 - Gird your loins for Barbara Steele starring in "She Beast." Even though Barbara Steele is barely in this film, she managed to get top billing. It’s really the screwball antics of the Romanian Police that steal the show. This film combines horror and Keystone Cops capers in a complete mess that only Chiller Drive-In would dare show.

Destroying Tokyo makes me wanna crunk! And this week, Chiller Drive-In welcomes EISE-TV (Channel 33.2) in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to our sick family. Chiller Drive-In is crashing the prime time lineup Saturday nights at 8pm! And we're kicking things off with "Gammera The Invincible!"

A nuclear explosion awakens a fire-breathing turtle monster from hibernation. No, not Godzilla. We're talking about Gammera (with 2 M's - that's how you know he means business)! Gammera, who's clearly not a morning person, opens a can of whoop-booty on Tokyo and hangs with teenagers as they boogie down to the Gammera Theme Song.

Motor City Comic Con and "Legend of Bigfoot"

This weekend it's the one and only Motor City Comic Con in Novi, Michigan! This Friday, May 14th thru Sunday, May 16th at the Rock Financial Showplace. It’s the largest pop culture show in the state!

This year the guest list is so long that it would probably crash your Internets if you tried to download it. Mirina Sirtis, Adam West, Ray Park, Linda Blair, Dawn Wells, Virginia Hey (giggity), Lindsay Wagner, Jim Kelly and gobs and gobs more. Heck, even that guy that played the Stormtrooper that said "These aren’t the droids we're looking for" is going to be there. How freaking cool is that?

Not to mention the lumpy mass of comic book artists like the great Sergio Argones and dozens more! Including Tony Miello, the artist behind the new Chiller Drive-In comic book. Plus aisle after aisle of vendors and events!

And of course Chiller Drive-In will be there too! Wolfman Mac and the cast will be making appearances throughout the weekend, so drop by and say hi!

And if that frenzied endorsement isn’t enough to give you a seizure, just watch this commercial:

This Saturday night, Chiller Drive-In will be there to make it all better.

Saturday night at 10pm Eastern & Pacific - 9pm Central & Mountain on RTV – Having trouble sleeping? Well, there’s no need to go to the medicine cabinet looking for sleeping pills. Just turn on 1976’s "The Legend of Bigfoot" and you’ll be sawing logs in no time! Will you be a believer in the Bigfoot myth by the end of the film? Probably not, but why take that chance?

What is this RTV thing and where can I find it? Click here, spunky.

Saturday night at Midnight on Ft. Myers' My TV 8 – This week we have the gloomy Italian horror/mystery film, "Werewolf In A Girl's Dormitory." Yeah, it’s got some bad dubbing, and the dialog is awful, and the werewolf is pretty lame, but it does star drop-dead-gorgeous Barbara Lass. And plenty of folks get mauled by werewolves. So it’s not all bad.

Killer B's - Screaming Skull, Spider Island!

Never eat anything bigger than your own head

After the weekend that just passed, you would think that the folks at Chiller Drive-In would need a week off.

Well, even if they do, they're not getting it!

This Thursday, get out of the house and come out the the Main Art Theater for May's "Attack of The Killer B’s." This month we’ve got the film that’s more fun than a bag full of severed green thumbs: Roger Corman’s classic from 1960, "The Little Shop of Horrors."

It's the timeless tale of a boy, his girl, and a man-eating plant! And watch for Jack Nicholson in one of his first big screen appearances. Bring your snarky comments and laser pointers this Thursday, May 6th at 7pm at the Main Art Theater in Royal Oak. $9 Adults, $7 Students, $5 Kids - 118 Main Street (248) 263-2111.

It's not too soon to start planning your TV watching for next week:

Egad!Saturday night at 10pm Eastern & Pacific - 9pm Central & Mountain on RTV – Tune in for "The Screaming Skull" from 1958. Happy newlyweds Eric and Jenni Whitlock retire to his desolate mansion, where Eric's first wife Marianne died in a "mysterious accident" (yeah, right). Jenni, who has a history of mental illness, begins to see strange things. Is she going bonkers again, or is there something more sinister going on?

This film could quite possibly scare you to death! If it does, the filmmakers will pay for your funeral. And Boney Bob schemes to cash in on this promise!

Saturday night at Midnight on Ft. Myers' My TV 8 - The good (and forgiving) people of Ft. Myers get to relive the "Horrors of Spider Island." This movie is little more than an excuse to have hot German babes fight and dance in skimpy outfits, while a man-spider unenthusiastically tries to kill them. Make sure you watch this one hungry, because it's loaded with cheese and cheesecake.
