Take a Chiller Vacation

A couple of things that you can count on every summer are reruns and vacations. This week on Wolfman Mac's Chiller Drive-In we have both!

Saturday night at 10pm Eastern & Pacific - 9pm Central & Mountain on RTV – Get away from it all on the "Phantom Planet".

Feeling tense and worked up? Visit the Phantom Planet and enjoy a vigorous fight to the death, mute space girls and exciting battles with cheesy looking aliens. Plus, you’ll get reeeeeeeeal small.

Starring Dean Fredericks and scorching hot Dolores Faith as Zetha. You'll also see Richard Kiel (best known as Jaws in several Bond films) paying his dues as the Solarite alien.

Saturday night at Midnight on Ft. Myers' My TV 8 – Take a vacation from your brain with "Dementia 13".

This 1963 Psycho-wanna-be is loaded with senseless killing and a plot that makes even less sense. It's hard to believe that Francis Ford Coppola directed this movie, but easy to believe Roger Corman produced it.

Saturday evening at 8pm on EISE-TV, My TV Ft. Wayne – How about a little stay-cation at the "Horrors of Party Beach"?

A beach full of dancing teenyboppers, greasers and old-farts-pretending-to-be-teenagers is terrorized by a radioactive monster that looks like it’s eaten too many hot dogs at once and gagged. This film has it all! Monsters, music, bikini babes, summer fun, mayhem, drunks and explosions!

Cameo by Boney BobJuly is coming to a close and that can only mean one thing: It's time for another "Attack of the Killer B's" at the Main Art Theater in Royal Oak!

Summer makes us all feel like kids, so this month we're digging up the teen scream flick, "Teenagers From Outer Space". See the film that answers the question of whether or not space lobsters can scream! Is "Derek" a cool name for a space alien? And just how old are those "teenagers" anyway?

Thursday, August 5th at 7pm at the Main Art Theater in Royal Oak. $9 Adults, $7 Students, $5 Kids | 118 Main Street | (248) 263-2111.

This week on Chiller Drive-In

Turn the lights down low, dig up a date and tune in this Saturday to Wolfman Mac's Chiller Drive-In!

Barbara prepares to flick a boogerSaturday night at 10pm Eastern & Pacific - 9pm Central & Mountain on RTV – Was your latest online date was a disaster? How about a blind date with Barbara Steele in "She Beast"?

After a newlywed couple crash their car into a lake, the spirit of a 18th century witch possesses her and goes nutso on the local townspeople. It’s up to her hubby and a modern day descendant of Van Helsing to cast out the witch.

Saturday night at Midnight on Ft. Myers' My TV 8 – Get your zombie on with the horror classic "Night of The Living Dead".

Arguably the greatest horror film ever made, Night of The Living Dead is the iconic, all-you-can-eat zombie buffet that all that followed wish they could measure up to. Just remember, the cellar is not always the safest place.

Saturday evening at 8pm on EISE-TV, My TV Ft. Wayne – It’s time for a vacation to the "Phantom Planet".

This sci-fi stinker is your typical man-meets-aliens fare, with desperate attempts at realism, cheeseball special effects (come to think of it, the asteroids kinda look like cheeseballs) and sub plots galore.

Werewolf Days of Summer

Scorching hot Barbara Lass

Looking for a way to beat the heat this summer? Why not crank up the air conditioning, pop some popcorn and plop yourself in front of the TV this Saturday for Wolfman Mac's Chiller Drive-In?

Saturday night at 10pm Eastern & Pacific - 9pm Central & Mountain on RTV – From 1962, tune in for the Italian gothic-horror film "Werewolf in a Girl’s Dormitory."

Even though normal, run-of-the-mill wolves have been seen roaming around a girl’s reformatory, when one of the girls is found murdered, everyone points suspicious fingers at the new science teacher... Could he be a werewolf? Or is it the guy who looks just like the werewolf? Tune in to find out.

What is this RTV you speak of? Find out here.

Saturday night at Midnight on Ft. Myers' My TV 8 – It's the 1922 silent classic that needs no introduction (or synopsis), "Nosferatu."

And because this is a 4-star film, you’ll get points with all your snooty, arts-fartsy friends, and get some "culture" while being entertained by fart jokes! Win-win, baby!

Boney and Van Helsing get comfortableSaturday evening at 8pm on EISE-TV, My TV Ft. Wayne – Barbara Steele stars in "She Beast" (Even though she’s barely in the film).

A couple on their honeymoon in Transylvania crash their car into a lake... The same lake where a witch was drowned many years before. The witch takes over the wife's body and it's up to her husband and a descendant of Van Helsing to save her. This film combines horror and Keystone Cops capers in a complete mess that only Chiller Drive-In would dare show.

The Horrors of Tormented Girl's Dormitory

What Peter Parker should look like

We hope that your Independence Day activities were fun and exciting and that no one lost an eye to a wayward bottle rocket. But even if you did, you'll still have one eye left to watch Chiller Drive-In this weekend!

Saturday night at 10pm Eastern & Pacific - 9pm Central & Mountain on RTV – It's a heaping helping of cheese and cheesecake in "Horrors of Spider Island."

While the term "Horror" is in the title, the only real horror is the fact the film got made in the first place. A troupe of exotic dancers and their manager wash up on a deserted island after a plane crash. The girls pass the time by fighting, making snotty comments and wearing skimpy outfits. Meanwhile the manager gets bitten by a radioactive spider and turns into a fuzzy monster that stalks the girls.

Looking for RTV but don't know where to start? Here's as good a place as any.

Saturday night at Midnight on Ft. Myers' My TV 8 – Dig up a date for the touching love story, "Tormented."

Vi loses her headWhat's more romantic than a man who "accidentally" kills his ex-girlfriend by throwing her off a lighthouse (points for originality), and is then haunted by her ghost? Richard Carlson plays a Jazz pianist that can’t seem to stop killing people to keep his crimes quiet. The scorching hot Juli Reding stars as Vi, the ghost with the 40-23-35 curves. This film is about the closest we’re ever going to get to showing a chick-flick.

Saturday evening at 8pm on EISE-TV, My TV Ft. Wayne – Tune in for the Italian-Gothic-Horror film "Werewolf in a Girl's Dormitory"

Yeah, it’s got some bad dubbing, the dialog is awful, and the werewolf is pretty lame, but it does star drop-dead-gorgeous Barbara Lass. And plenty of folks get mauled by werewolves. So it’s not all bad.

Look at the Reruns! Ooo! Ahhh!

Starman looks for a new girdleIn between the family fun, hot dogs and fireworks, what better way to celebrate your Independence Day weekend than with a side order of Chiller Drive-In reruns?

Saturday night at 10pm Eastern & Pacific - 9pm Central & Mountain on RTV – Tune in for the fan favorite "Evil Brain From Outer Space!"

Boney Bob’s favorite superhero Starman kicks alien booty in this superhero sci-fi disaster-piece! It’s got battle scenes choreographed by ballet instructors and costumes that leave nothing to the imagination! But if that’s not enough, tune in to see StarBob and his battle with the Milkman!

What is this RTV we speak of? Click here spunky.

Saturday night at Midnight on Ft. Myers' My TV 8 – From 1959, you've got the Roger Corman classic, "Attack of The Giant Leeches."

Radiation once again plays the role of monster maker and turns some happy little swamp leeches into monstrous beasts that feed on humans - and make basketball sized hickeys on their victims. Starring Yvette Vickers, who was probably best known as Playboy's Miss July 1959 - Because this film sure wasn't going to make her a household name.

Hard to tell who has a better figure. Starman or these women.Saturday evening at 8pm on EISE-TV, My TV Ft. Wayne – It's a terrible movie that's easy on the eye: "Horrors of Spider Island."

The only real horror about this film is that fact that it got made in the first place. It stars a bevy of babes that get stranded on a deserted island with their manager. The manager gets bitten by a huge spider and turns into a fuzzy spider monster. But don’t worry about that. Most of this film is spent on the girls and their fights, snarky comments and skimpy outfits.

The Cast and Crew of Chiller Drive-In Wish Everyone a Safe and Creepy Independence Day!
