Nightmare Castle, Erebus, October Calendar

Got Goth? We do this week on Chiller Drive-In:

Saturday night at 10pm Eastern & Pacific - 9pm Central & Mountain on RTV and Saturday night at Midnight on Ft. Myers' My TV 8: Scream queen Barbara Steele is back in "Nightmare Castle."

A creepy doctor catches his wife fooling around with another man, so he does what any normal guy would do: he tortures and shocks them and removes their hearts. Then he marries his ex’s mentally disturbed sister – who is plagued by nightmares after moving in with the doctor. Barbara Steele digs deep to play a dual role of a blond AND a brunette in this gothic horror great.

Saturday evening at 8pm on EISE-TV, My TV Ft. Wayne: Here comes Gappa in "Monster From a Prehistoric Planet."

The monster beat down begins when some nosy humans decide to take a giant baby bird-reptile away from it’s home. The very large and dangerous mommy and daddy go looking for their missing offspring and decide to start the search by destroying one Japanese city after another. Will they get their little twerp back or will they destroy the planet?

And now that October is upon us, Chiller Drive-In events are popping up all over the place! Click here to view the October Calendar of Events – We’ll update the list as more events are confirmed.

Coming up is October’s Attack of the Killer B’s! This month we’ve dug up the classic that you’ll either love or hate, "Carnival of Souls." We’ll have our usual raffles for killer Chiller Swag and a costume contest. Thursday, October 7 at 7pm at the Main Art Theater in Royal Oak. $9 Adults, $7 Students, $5 Kids | 118 Main Street, Royal Oak | (248) 263-2111.

And don’t forget that Erebus, the largest haunted attraction on this side of the planet, is now open and waiting for you! Grab the NEW Fear Finder for $3 off coupon. Or get $5 off discount tickets at participating Kroger's locations. The weirdoes from Chiller Drive-In will be there every night to help console you if you manage to make it out. Find out for yourself why Erebus buries all other haunted attractions alive.

The Chiller Drive-In Busy Season!

Rainbow Warrior vs the protector of the Universe! The summer has come to a close, and now the Chiller Drive-In busy season begins!

Saturday night at 10pm Eastern & Pacific - 9pm Central & Mountain on RTV and Saturday night at Midnight on Ft. Myers' My TV 8: Get your kaiju on with "Gamera Vs. Barugon."

Gamera, the giant flying turtle, returns to Chiller Drive-In for another rubber suit monster mash! This time, Gamera takes on the rainbow spewing monster Barugon... who seems to get an awful lot of screen time (he must have been related to the director). The disrespect doesn’t stop there, but surprisingly Gamera even takes the mispronouncing of his name all in stride. What a turtle.

Saturday evening at 8pm on EISE-TV, My TV Ft. Wayne: Tune in for the cult classic, "Dementia 13."

This 1963 Psycho-wanna-be is loaded with senseless killing and a plot that makes even less sense. It's hard to believe that Francis Ford Coppola directed this movie, but easy to believe Roger Corman produced it.

Guy with the frozen expressionAnd it’s not too soon to start planning for October’s Attack of the Killer B’s! This month we’re dredging up the cult classic, "Carnival of Souls." A bizarre thriller with a zombie ballet troupe that folks seem to either love or hate. We’ll have our usual raffles for killer Chiller Swag and a costume contest.

Thursday, October 7 at 7pm at the Main Art Theater in Royal Oak. $9 Adults, $7 Students, $5 Kids | 118 Main Street, Royal Oak | (248) 263-2111.

Hot off the Presses! Pick up your copy of the brand new FEAR FINDER. Free at a newsstand near you, or grab a copy online! Inside you’ll find several of the October Chiller Drive-in events around the Metro Detroit area! Make sure you make the time to visit the Erebus Haunted Attraction as well!

Open House - House on Haunted Hill

Ever wonder what it’s like to see a horror host show set in person? This Thursday, Sept 16 from 6 – 11 pm you can find out!

Join Wolfman Mac and the cast and crew of Chiller Drive-In for an Open House! Tour the set, meet the cast and get fueled up on Monster Energy Drinks. You can even get your picture taken with the original gates from Sir Graves Ghastly’s show. The studio is located in the bowel of the Erebus Haunted Attraction - 18 S. Perry in downtown Pontiac.

As you probably noticed last week, "House on Haunted Hill" did not air – instead, RTV viewers were treated to "The Brain That Wouldn’t Die." Turns out there was a technical issue and the best way around it was to air the episode that was meant for this week. Sorry for the confusion. We'll make it up this week.

Saturday night at 10pm Eastern & Pacific - 9pm Central & Mountain on RTV - Pack an overnight bag and make sure your will is up to date. It’s the Vincent Price classic from 1959, "House on Haunted Hill."

A wealthy man and his conniving wife invite 5 complete strangers to spend a night in a haunted house - with the promise of $10,000 to anyone that can survive till morning! At midnight, the doors are locked! There’s no way out and not everyone will live through the night!

Saturday night at Midnight on Ft. Myers' My TV 8 - It's the movie that’s a head above all other disembodied head movies: "The Brain That Wouldn’t Die."

The kooky Dr. Cortner and his beautiful fiancée Jan, take a trip to his weekend retreat. But a horrible car accident decapitates Jan and the doc collects her severed head and rushes it to his laboratory, where he revives it and manages to keep it alive in a cookie sheet. Now the doc needs a new body so he can make Jan whole again!

Saturday evening at 8pm on EISE-TV, My TV Ft. Wayne - The cellar isn’t always the safest place... "Night of The Living Dead."

Arguably, the greatest horror film ever made, Night of The Living Dead is the iconic, all-you-can-eat zombie munch-fest that all that followed wish they could measure up to.
